A Historic Milestone: SIS Palembang Wins Big in Kuala Lumpur<\/a><\/b><\/h3>\n

What a journey it has been! As the Academic and MUN Counsellor, I am proud to share that our students have successfully made their mark on the international stage. This past January, a delegation from our school travelled to Kuala Lumpur for the <\/span>Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN)<\/b>. For the first time in our school’s history, two of our students earned the prestigious <\/span>Best Delegate Award<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our success on the global stage is built on a foundation of <\/span>Fairness, Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Courage<\/b>. These core SIS values<\/a>, combined with the guidance of our quality educators, empower students to transform from local learners into international achievers. By fostering a culture of excellence and character, we provide the mentorship necessary for every student to unlock their full potential and lead with confidence.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Strategic Roadmap for Student Excellence and Soft Skills<\/b><\/h3>\n

Our achievement in Kuala Lumpur was not a matter of luck. It was the outcome of a carefully planned, year-long effort to strengthen our students\u2019 soft skills and diplomatic capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

September 2025: Strengthening Global Partnerships.<\/b><\/h3>\n

We reaffirmed our dedication to global education by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Global Network.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 2025: The First Step at AWMUN Bali.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Our students made their first appearance as a school delegation. While we did not secure awards, this “trial by fire” provided the essential experience needed to grow.<\/span><\/p>\n

November 2025: Inclusivity via SIS Palembang MUN.<\/b><\/h3>\n

We organised our own internal conference to identify and develop local talent within a supportive learning environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

This continuous progression ultimately led us to the podium in Malaysia. Witnessing their transformation from hesitant first-timers to influential voices in international councils is the ultimate reward for any educator.<\/span><\/p>\n
