Every morning at SIS Palembang begins with little footsteps, cheerful greetings, and curious eyes ready to explore the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a preschool teacher, I often remind myself how special these early years are. This is the time when children begin to ask questions about everything, try new things, and slowly discover who they are. Being part of this journey is something I treasure.<\/span><\/p>\n

When parents ask me what makes our preschool special, I always share one simple thought: <\/span>we don\u2019t just teach children, we nurture them.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

In our classroom, my priority is to make every child feel safe, happy, and valued. When children feel comfortable, they naturally begin to open up. At first, some may be shy or quiet, but with gentle encouragement, I start to see them raising their hands, sharing their ideas, and smiling more confidently each day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Learning Through Active Engagement<\/b><\/h3>\n

One of my favourite moments is when the classroom is filled with energy, children moving, exploring, and fully engaged in their activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

We learn through play, hands-on experiences, and meaningful interactions. Whether it\u2019s building something together, exploring simple concepts, or participating in group activities, the children are always actively involved.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve seen how this makes a difference. When children enjoy what they are doing, they become more focused, more curious, and more excited to learn. At the same time, they are developing important skills like thinking, working with friends, and expressing their creativity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Exploring Concepts Through Experience<\/b><\/h3>\n

Young children understand best when they can experience things for themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

In class, I always try to connect learning to something familiar. When children can see, touch, or relate to what they are learning, everything becomes clearer and more meaningful.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s always rewarding to see that moment when a child says, \u201cOh, I understand!\u201d Those small moments show that they are building confidence in their learning, step by step.<\/span><\/p>\n

Discovering the World Around Them<\/b><\/h3>\n

Children are naturally full of curiosity, and I love encouraging that.<\/span><\/p>\n

They ask questions about the simplest things, and instead of just giving answers, I guide them to observe, think, and share what they notice. These little conversations help them make sense of the world around them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over time, I see them becoming more confident in asking questions and expressing their thoughts. Their curiosity grows, and so does their love for learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Developing Early Communication Skills<\/b><\/h3>\n

In our classroom, we talk a lot, and I mean that in the best way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through storytelling, sharing sessions, and daily conversations, children are given many opportunities to speak and listen. At first, some may only say a few words, but gradually, they begin to express themselves more clearly.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s always heartwarming to see a child who was once quiet start to share their ideas with confidence. At the same time, they also learn to listen, take turns, and respond to their friends, skills that are just as important.<\/span><\/p>\n

Building Confidence and Independence<\/b><\/h3>\n

One of the most important things I hope to nurture in every child is confidence.<\/span><\/p>\n

I encourage them to make small choices, try simple tasks on their own, and take part actively in class. These may seem like small steps, but they make a big difference.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over time, I see children becoming more independent and proud of what they can do. They begin to believe in themselves, and that is something special.<\/span><\/p>\n

At SIS Palembang, we believe every child deserves a strong and joyful start to their learning journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a teacher, it brings me so much happiness to see my students grow, not just academically, but also in confidence, curiosity, and character.<\/span><\/p>\n
