The device can be built with motors, light sensors, sound sensors, movement sensors and even rotor blades for flight and they can be programmed to respond in different ways to different contexts and inputs. We enter our students in regular inter-school competitions to inspire their efforts.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10262 \" src=\"https:\/\/sisschools.org\/sis-southjakarta\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/32\/2021\/06\/SIS-South-Jakarta-Robotics-Program.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"970\" height=\"645\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sisschools.org\/sis-southjakarta\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/32\/2021\/06\/SIS-South-Jakarta-Robotics-Program.jpg 600w, https:\/\/sisschools.org\/sis-southjakarta\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/32\/2021\/06\/SIS-South-Jakarta-Robotics-Program-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 970px) 100vw, 970px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>ROBOTICS helps students understand in deep and practical ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Design Process<\/strong> (which can be applied to any kind of innovation)<\/li>\n<li>How to <strong>Solve Problems<\/strong> (which makes them stand out from the crowd)<\/li>\n<li>What <strong>Coding<\/strong> is and how it works (even if they never become programmers)<\/li>\n<li>How to <strong>Actively Learn<\/strong> (by participating in the learning process, as opposed to passively taking in information)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Logical Approaches<\/strong> required to get their designed outcomes from structuring commands and inputs to handle a variety of contexts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Critical Thinking Skills<\/strong> (which allows students to make informed decisions to the best of their ability in everyday situations)<\/li>\n<li>How <strong>Machines<\/strong> can effectively interact with the environment and humans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Robotics will also inspire creativity and skills in physically manipulating objects using simple tools as well as be a heap of fun which makes students look forward to coming to school each day!<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>3D PRINTER<\/strong> is used for special projects, especially by the IT and Art Departments. A 3D printer allows a student to turn an idea in their minds into a physical object through a process of computer-aided design.
