Jakarta, October 2025 \u2014 SIS South Jakarta proudly celebrates the success of its alumni, Selena (Sierissa) and Guenevere Soemakno, who have just released their debut single, \u201cBe Your Baby.\u201d The song marks an inspiring milestone in their creative journey, blending soulful energy, heartfelt storytelling, and a passion nurtured since their early years at SIS.<\/span><\/p>\n Both proud SIS South Jakarta alumni, the Soemakno sisters have transformed their creativity into music. Their first original single, <\/span>Be Your Baby<\/span><\/i>, captures emotion and authenticity through lyrics written by Sierissa and performed together with her sister Guenevere.<\/span><\/p>\n At SIS, creativity and confidence are part of every student\u2019s journey. Sierissa\u2019s years at SIS were filled with experiences that shaped her artistic voice, from being part of the Student Council and Graduation Committee to performing during assemblies and participating in the SIS Cup. These experiences helped her grow as a storyteller and performer, skills that continue to shine in her music today.<\/span><\/p>\n After graduating with an IB Diploma in 2017, Sierissa continued her education and creative journey across the globe, from the Netherlands to Hong Kong and now Southern California.<\/span> Her younger sister, Guenevere Soemakno, who attended SIS Primary, is now pursuing her passion for film and media in California. She is studying Cinema and Television Arts, majoring in Entertainment Media Management with double minors in Business Law and Political Science.<\/span><\/p>\n The Soemakno sisters\u2019 journey is a testament to the SIS philosophy that learning goes beyond the classroom.
