Getting Ready for This Year\u2019s FT\/IFC Transformational Business Awards<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/a>\n

For 15-years the Financial Times of London and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, have gathered senior investors, innovators, social entrepreneurs and other thought leaders for a major awards event – the<\/span> <\/span>Financial Times\/International Finance Corporation Transformational and Busines<\/span><\/a>s Awards<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The annual awards honour those whose capital, technology and ideas are contributing to substantive progress towards achieving the <\/span>United Nations Sustainable Development Goals<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The SIS Group of Schools was truly honored to win the 2019 award for \u201cTransformational Solutions In Education, Knowledge And Skills\u201d for its work to ensure access to high quality education is increasingly available and affordable<\/span> for families across South East Asia. Our Founder and CEO, Jaspal Sidhu, was onhand for the ceremony in London to accept the award last year and had this to say on the experience: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/a>\n

Of course, we also wish to heartily congratulate the 2020 winner of this prestigious award: <\/span>The Vodafone Foundation<\/span><\/a> working with the <\/span>United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees<\/span><\/a> (UNHCR). Their work to expand Instant Network Schools to benefit more than 500,000 young refugees is a true humanitarian achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their continued commitment will help refugees in some of the most challenging environments, opening a window to the world through connected learning. Education is crucial in offering refugees the chance to rebuild their lives. Across categories the nominees and winners are working to develop low-carbon urban infrastructure, deliver healthcare and education, assure food and water security, boost inclusion, and generally transform the development landscape<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
