Community Activity Service Students Support Flood Victims in Aceh

On 7 February 2026, Community Activity Service (CAS) students, in collaboration with Komunitas 1000 Guru Medan, carried out a one-day social service activity to support communities affected by the recent flood in Kebun Tanjung Seumantoh Village, Aceh Tamiang Sub-district, Aceh Province.
This initiative was organized as a form of compassion and social responsibility toward the flood victims. The program aimed to provide assistance, care, and encouragement to help the community recover from the disaster. The activities conducted during the event included:
- Trauma healing and educational activities for children, designed to restore joy, rebuild confidence, and reignite their enthusiasm for learning.
- Free medical treatment and basic health check-ups for members of the local community to ensure their well-being after the flood.
- Social interaction and motivational sessions to support emotional recovery and strengthen the spirit of togetherness within the community.
- Distribution of essential aid, including sembako (basic food supplies), mattresses, and school stationery for families affected by the flood.

Through this meaningful activity, the CAS students demonstrated empathy, leadership, and a strong commitment to serving the community. It is hoped that this initiative will not only ease the burden of the flood victims but also inspire others to contribute positively to society.
