SIS Group of Schools Rocks with IBDP Results

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program results are out, and the SIS Group of Schools are once again celebrating outstanding results across all its campuses at which IBDP is offered.

Overall, all SIS Schools scored a weighted pass rate of 96.1%, well above the world average of 85.6%. Close to a third of SIS students scored 40 points and above. This achievement is remarkable given that the SIS Group of Schools – often known as Indonesia’s premier chain – provides quality international education at multiple price points. Recently, the SIS Group of Schools also expanded into India and Myanmar.

These outstanding results come from a clear focus by SIS educators and administrators on the 3 Ps of what makes schools successful: People, Program and Place. Its project-based learning approach built on the unique offering of 3 of the world’s best curricula (Singapore, Cambridge and IB) as well as the Group’s Desired Student Learning Outcomes (DSLOs) create a personal learning journey for each child, and prepare the learner well for a future that is fast changing.

SIS students have gone on to attend some of the best universities in the world. These include NUS and NTU from Singapore, University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon and Boston University in the US, University of Melbourne in Australia, as well as top universities in Indonesia and Imperial College, St Andrew’s and Oxford in the UK. This year students have received offers from Imperial College, National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), University of Toronto and many more.

When asked to comment on the IBDP results, Jaspal Sidhu, Chairman and Founder of the SIS Group of Schools said, “I have always believed that quality education cannot be in the hands of one group of society. SIS schools across Indonesia are purposely crafted to be affordable. These results show that we play an important role to help equalise the odds out there and will continue to do so. SIS will continue to expand in Indonesia and beyond. I thank our students for their hard work, the parent community for their unwavering support but most of all our wonderful teachers for their passion and ability to inspire and mentor our learners.
